Ensuring Calibration Accuracy

Everyday practice technics used to in ensure accurate calibrations:

1. First and foremost, ensuring integrity of in-house calibration standards: primary standard to NIST standard, a secondary standard (the transfer error at 365nm is 1% or less), and transfer standard of 0% to probe being calibrated
2. Check linearity across UV meter’s ranges (G&R meters are +/- 1%)
3. Perform maintenance checks: clean any contaminants, check wires connection
4. Maintain detail records specifying variance between prior calibration and post calibration to NIST standard. Records also are noted as to customer set point for future consistent repeatability
